Part 4
Tuesday, Summer
Lou's Fury was getting out of control. He tried to clear his mind by playing the guitar, but it did not help.
Meanwhile, Ophelia paid a visit to the Collective.
Lily: Hey darling, how's the whole baby situation going?
Ophelia: Well, I told Lou and...we're living together now
Lily: Oh, that's wonderful! I hope he is the father
Ophelia: Me too...he's been great
After catching up with Lily, Ophelia went to work. Simultaneously, Lou's Fury overtook him, and he couldn't regain control. He sprinted to the Collective tree to intimidate any unfortunate members who happened to be around.
Of course, this strained the relationship between the two Werewolf packs, and they were no longer allies.
Luckily, Lou's rampage finished before Ophelia got home from work. He found her in the kitchen, cooking dinner, and thought about how lucky he was.
Lou: How was work?
Ophelia: It was alright. I hope I get a promotion soon
Lou: Of course you will, because you're super talented!
Ophelia: You're so cheesy, but thank you. How was your day?
Lou: Um...the Beast took over...
Ophelia: Is that why you disappeared this morning?
Lou: Yeah, I didn't want to lose control in front of you. You don't need that stress right now, Ophie
Ophelia: Lou...
Lou: I want to make this whole situation as easy for you as possible, okay?
After dinner, Ophelia read another Werewolf book, where she managed to learn about Lunar Epiphany. In the process, she completed the Werewolf Initiate aspiration.
Wednesday, Summer
Lou got up early to make breakfast for Ophelia. However, he accidentally set fire to the kitchen.
Fortunately, he survived!
During breakfast, Ophelia discussed with Lou how she would like to get a DNA test for the baby, which he fully supported. Afterwards, Ophelia reluctantly called Chase around to ask him for a sample.
Chase: Um...what happened to you?
Ophelia: Yeah, I am pregnant...
Chase: It's not mine, is it?
Ophelia: That's what I called you over for. I am going to need a DNA sample...
Chase: What...you're kidding, right?
Ophelia: No, Chase.
Chase: I...I can't be the father!
Ophelia: I mean, there's a chance it's not yours...
Chase: I fucking hope it's Lou's
Ophelia: I just need a DNA sample so we can be sure.
Chase: You said you were on the pill, did you lie to me!?
Ophelia: No, I was on the pill. But it didn't work...due to some manufacturing issue
Chase: Fuck!
Ophelia: Hey, calm down. You don't want to awaken your Beast right now...
Chase: Maybe I do, 'cause I don't want to be a fucking dad
Ophelia: Well, you might not be. Deep breaths, okay?
Chase: Ugh...I'd make a terrible father
Ophelia: That's not true. We won't know anyway, unless you give a DNA sample...
Chase: Fine. I'll give a stupid sample.
After Chase left, Paolo swung by to catch up with Ophelia. He was forever grateful to her for letting him stay at hers.
Ophelia: Hey Paolo, how's things going?
Paolo: Ophelia, are you...?
Ophelia: Yes, I'm pregnant
Paolo: What...how...when did this happen?
Ophelia: It's a long story.
Paolo: Congrats, man. That's awesome!
Ophelia: Thank you...
Paolo: I've noticed you've given the place a bit of a makeover, too
Ophelia: Needed to make room for the baby
Paolo: Damn...I'm happy for ya. You'll be an epic mum
Ophelia: Enough about me. How are you?
Poalo: Oh yeah, I'm married now
Ophelia: What!?
Paolo: It might have happened fast, but I don't care. I'm happy
Ophelia: That's great to hear, Paolo. Congratulations!
While Ophelia was catching up with Paolo, Lou went to hang out with Rory.
Rory: You enjoying your new home?
Lou: Yep! I can't wait to be a father, too. I'm so excited!
Rory: I'm happy for you, man. Just don't be a stranger, okay?
Lou: Of course! You'll have to meet the little one when they arrive
Rory: Um...sure.
When Lou returned home, he caught up with Ophelia.
Lou: How did it go with Chase?
Ophelia: He wasn't happy...but he eventually agreed to give a DNA sample. He said he didn't want to be a dad...
Lou: Fuck him, you and the baby don't need him. You've got me.
Ophelia: What if it is his, though?
Lou: Like I said, you've got me!
Ophelia: I know, but...one day, our child will have to know the truth...if Chase is the father.
Lou: We'll cross that bridge when it comes to it. But right now, you need to relax. The stress isn't good for the baby. I'm all you need, Ophie
Ophelia: You're really amazing, you know. Not many people would be happy about this predicament...
Lou: Well it's not about me, it's about the little one. And I love you, so...
Ophelia: You do?
Lou: Yep, and the baby, too
Ophelia: Well...we love you too.
Lou: You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Ophie. You've made me a better person already, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Ophelia: As long as we're together, we'll be happy.
Just as Ophelia was ready to go to bed, she went into labour.
After a long few hours, Ophelia and Lou welcomed a baby boy. They named him Corbin.
Lou: Wow, he's so adorable
Ophelia: I know...he's perfect
Lou: I can't believe I'm actually a father!
Ophelia: ...
Lou: Ophie?
Ophelia: I know you're excited, but...
Lou: Hey, that doesn't matter, okay? Sure, it'll hurt a lot if it turns out Chase is the father, but I'll still treat Corbin as my own.
Lou: Besides, we can easily try for another baby
Ophelia: I've not long given birth and you're already thinking about more kids!?
Lou: Corbin will need someone to play with!
Ophelia: I want to focus on my career for a bit first. Then maybe we can think about having another child...
Lou: Of course. Whenever you're ready, Ophie
Thursday, Summer
Ophelia was straight back to work the next day, and she came home with a promotion.
After she showered, Ophelia checked the mail box. A letter had arrived; it was the DNA results.
She was very nervous about opening it, and so took it slow. Ophelia carefully read every word on the letter. She had to break the news to Lou...
Ophelia: I got the DNA results back
Lou: And? Am I the father?
Ophelia: I'm so sorry, Lou...
Lou: ...
Ophelia: You're not the father...
Lou: I see...
Ophelia: I truly am sorry. I want it to be you so bad, and...shit...I am such an idiot
Lou: It's okay...
Ophelia: Is it, though? You don't have to pretend, if it's too much...
Lou: No...it doesn't change anything. As far as I'm concerned, Corbin is my son
Ophelia: And I wouldn't want anyone else to be his father but you.
Now it was time to let Chase know about the results. Ophelia was not looking forward to it.
Ophelia: I think you know why I called you here...
Chase: The DNA results are back?
Ophelia: Yes...
Chase: Not sure if I want to know the answer.
Ophelia: I'll just come out with it...Corbin is yours, Chase
Chase: What?
Ophelia: Yeah...
Chase: Fuck! It's just one problem after another with you, isn't it?
Ophelia: I'm sorry...
Chase: Don't expect anything from me. I made it clear that I want NOTHING to do with this.
Chase stormed off, but before he left the premises, he noticed Lou working out.
Chase: You must be pissed right now, knowing your girlfriend's child isn't yours...
Lou: Leave me alone, man.
Chase: Hey, I didn't fucking want this either. Fuck Ophelia...you should get as far away from her as possible
Lou: I said leave me alone.
With that, Chase left in a foul mood. Even though he told Ophelia everything was fine, Lou couldn't help but feel down. He was so excited about the possibility of being a father, and now part of that had been taken away.
It seemed like only yesterday since Corbin was born, but now he was an Infant. He had Chase's eyes, which saddened Ophelia a little, but Corbin's smile instantly wiped away any negative feelings.
(Let's not talk about the game's randomly generated outfit for him lmao)
